Carisa Holmes, HHA

Carisa Holmes, HHA, is a Performer of the Healing Arts and a Creative Power Coach. Her mission is to facilitate the birth of creative power and to promote the acknowledgement and recognition of the creative arts as vehicles for self expression, healing, and evolution.
She uses Reiki, Polarity Therapy, EFT, bodywork, music, sound therapy, and guided meditation to help children and adults open to their creativity and become more of who they really are.
Carisa was introduced to music study at an early age as a soloist and member of a gospel choir under the direction of her father, who was the Minister of Music at their church.
She began playing the flute in elementary school and then auditioned for and was accepted at the Stivers Music Magnet Junior High. She then moved on to audition for and attend the Colonel White High School for the Arts, where she studied flute and voice and was the co-captain of the dance team.
While attending Colonel White, she received a voice scholarship from the Dayton Opera Guild, represented the state of Ohio at the ACT-SO NAACP National Talent Competition in Los Angeles, California, and was the 1991 recipient of the Leon Bates Scholarship for voice to the Wright State University.
Carisa also worked with major label recording artists in pop and R&B while attending Wright State, honing her songwriting and recording skills.
After the passing of her mother and a major illness in her twenties, Carisa dove into holistic healing, first as the owner-operator of an organic spa room at Harmony House Wellness Center (2004-2007), and then as a Holistic Health Coach.
Over the years, her practice evolved along with her, and she has now integrated her music and creativity with energy work and her knowledge of holistic wellness to create a unique method that is both practical and open to magic and mystery.
Carisa currently works with children, adults, and organizations such as the Columbus Center for Spiritual Living and The Mount Carmel Zangmeister Center to help foster creativity, growth and healing.
