Ken Ignozzi (aka Kenny Gee)

Kenny Gee has been training for 7 years now in Poi, Contact Staff, and Contact Sword. He is a passionate flow arts instructor and performer, and spiritual seeker. So much so that it has changed his life, inspiring a new career path. When finished with his degree, he will facilitate art therapy, for patients with PTSD, and other life altering mental illnesses. Incorporating sculpture, painting, interpretive dance, flow arts, and psychology. Ken also trains “troubled” dogs- dogs that have regressed after obedience school, he still has yet to remember when he signed up for that job, but he loves it.

Workshop #1: "Intro to Contact Staff a.k.a (Look, No Hands)"
This is THE class to take if you want to learn contact staff. Starting with the transition from traditional grasping to pure contact, moving to fishtails, and then drilling the primary balance points. From there, on to multiple balance exercises we will learn to practice at home, and finally some relaxed flow and transition work at the end during a brief recap. I will stay after class to answer all remaining questions.
Workshop #2: "Contact Body Exploration"
This is a class for introductory and intermediate staffers- but is not necessarily limited to staff. We will explore speed variable control, how to recover from a mistake in style, abstract balance, toss and catch points. Egyptian-fishtails, continuous rolls, on neck, shoulders, head, anywhere!! This class is all about spontaneity, creative transitions, stalls catches tosses variations on anything, its all on the table, anything is possible!
