Anthony 'Flowers' Ward

Visionary Floral Sculptor Anthony Ward is leading the way in his own art form - the merging of the fine arts of dance and floral arranging.
At this time in history Anthony Ward is carrying the torch for the art of Flower Dance. Ward says, "At this point in my journey with the Flowers our offering is not a performance, but a deep prayer for Mother Earth, Father Sun and all who witness and share those precious moments with us as we send out the high vibrations we create to all of humanity!"
Anthony was first asked to create in this way with Bobby McFerrin as part of the San Francisco Jazz Festival in 2002. Michael Franti was in attendance at Anthony's request. Franti said, "I was in tears the whole time Bobby and Anthony were on stage." He then asked Anthony to create with his band Spearhead. At one of these potent offerings Zach Velmer the amazing drummer of STS9 was there to see what Anthony was up to. He was so moved he asked Anthony to create with STS9 . This was a very successful and prolific pairing from 2003-2006 from including a tour in Japan. In 2007, Anthony was asked to create on stage for a full set with Tipper, the first collaboration with an electronic music producer. Tipper's manager Dave Veller loved the pairing and arranged several more collabs between Tipper and Anthony immediately. Since then Anthony has created with the many of the deepest Visionary Music producers including many collabs with Random Rab, Dessert Dwellers, Bluetech, Kalya Scintilla, Love and Light, and OTT,. He has also created with Flying Lotus, Phuterprimative, Eskmo, Thriftworks, Emancipator, Vibesquad, Lynx, Papadosio, Beats Antique, Kaminanda, and DJ Dakini and Whitebear.
