Laura Carmody is a Priestess in service to the Goddess, passionate performance artist, Reiki energy healer, ceremonialist, & workshop facilitator. She invites you to ignite your own inner-knowing & orgasmic bliss through body connectivity, self-love, & radical creative expression. Laura’s performance art and ceremonial offerings are inspired by her passions for movement meditation & ritual divination. She views her hoop as a vehicle of ascension & uses her performance art as a method of healing through ecstatic dance & archetypal embodiment. Laura is honored to join the Rootwire family this year as both a performance artist & workshop facilitator!
Laura is a Reiki Master energy healer, intuitive crystal healer, & ecstatic breathwork facilitator. Through her studies of the Women’s Mysteries, she has gained deeper insight into her soul’s purpose to assist in the self-healing journey of the community by hosting transformational circles & ceremonies. Laura was trained in the Red Tent Mysteries & Ceremony Facilitation at OurRedTent.com. She now hosts retreats & workshops, training women in how to step into their power & facilitate their own Sister Circles & Red Tent spaces. She has set up Red Tent Healing Spaces at festivals and gatherings around the country, joining with sisters in ceremony and diving into the connection that our wombs hold between the Moon and the Earth.
Laura has been so blessed to travel the country selling crystals & metaphysical supplies, holding ceremony, & creating healing spaces at festivals, gatherings, studios, & temple communities. She currently resides in Southern Oregon where she holds space as Priestess of the Moon Lodge & Temple Coordinator at the Goddess Temple of Ashland. Laura facilitates weekly community ceremonies & monthly New Moon Sister Circles at the Goddess Temple, pulling from the wisdom of ancient cultures to inspire our modern lives.
Workshop #1: " Unlocking Universal Life Flow"
When approached consciously, flow arts combine the soothing qualities of ecstatic dance and mindful movement, while also connecting one to their inner-most being; flow is a healing art in its own right. Through intentional practice of flow arts, we have the opportunity to grow closer to ourselves and the Universe. This flowshop invites you to explore various movement meditation techniques, with a focus on the implementation of ecstatic breathwork & Reiki energy healing. We will discuss how to channel Universal Life Force not just into your flow, but into all parts of your being, so that you may thrive in your most optimum human existence. Together we will explore how you can approach your dance practice from a more sacred & intentional standpoint, using your flow prop as an instrument of ascension on your self-healing journey.
Workshop #2: "Priestess Code Activation"
Do you feel the poignant shift in the collective consciousness that is currently being birthed on Earth? We feel a change in the subtle energies we are receiving, we sense the birthing of something within us…something loving and familiar. Priestesses, of the ancient kind, are intentionally reincarnating onto Earth at this time to activate the Divine Feminine Codes once again. These codes hold the wisdom of our ancestors, the secrets of the Feminine, the Wombmyn’s Mysteries, the Bear Women Healers, the Magdalene Blood Lineage, the Sisterhood of the Rose. The Priestess codes are imbedded in our very DNA, our cells hold the memories of our ancestors & of our past lives. These codes are just waiting to be tapped into & reawakened! We are alive at an incredibly pivotal time in human existence, where the feminine energies are rising to share balance with the masculine energies. The reemergence of these feminine energies in our modern society is absolutely necessary if we intend to usher forth a New Earth of balance, respect, and peace. Men and women will join in hands and hearts in a safe space to explore how we can integrate the ancient teachings of the Priestess into our modern lives, activating the Goddess within each of us.
