"Cuddle Up: The Healing Power of Human Touch"
The Healing Power of Human Touch workshop will be conducted in two parts. The first part will be devoted to providing scientific and medical evidence (punctuated with inspiring, real-life examples and case studies) that support the fact that many health, well-being and relationship benefits become available to those willing to lovingly and empathetically practice the power of human touch. The second part will provide attendees the opportunity to engage in gentle, non-threatening, playful-yet-serious exercises that allow them to directly and consciously experience the deep and bonding power of human touch. Starting with simple, one-on-one activities that emphasize mindful intimacy practiced with already established partners or friends, the exercises will build to include others until everyone involved ends up becoming one big mass of wiggling, laughing cuddle puddle fun. Nothing will connect you more deeply with others than literally physically connecting with them. So, come cuddle up with us and feel how the power of human touch can keep your world filled with health and happiness.
Ziel Amalgamation is a digital artist and writer. He performed with Earth Circus (the premiere performance art production company in the Bay Area) for a decade and taught high school English in California for 20 years. Amalgamation is co-founder of and collaborator with the avant-garde performance art troupe Anna and The Annadroids. Ziel is a long-time advocate of equal rights for women and the ideals of transformational community-building. He’s being involved with Burning Man camps and activities that serve as models for social change during the last two decades, particularly a theme camp called And Then There’s Only Love, which is home to the world famous Orgy Dome. His involvement with the Orgy Dome inspired him to create and lead cuddle workshops that emphasize the healing power of human touch. 2018 will mark the fourth such workshop he’s held for Rootwire.
